Ivan Siyanko

Founder & Lead Developer, CharityIQ

Who I am

I’m the founder and lead developer of CharityIQ — grounded AI for grants, compliance and impact measurement, built for UK charities under £500k income. I also run a UK-registered charity myself, which is where this started: the tools I needed on a Tuesday night, writing a grant application, simply didn’t exist for an organisation our size.

My background is in software development — full-stack web applications and AI system integration — which is the technical side of what CharityIQ does: connecting large language models to verified, charity-specific data so every answer can be checked, not just trusted.

Why I built CharityIQ

Generic AI tools don’t know UK funders, UK regulators, or your charity’s own numbers. Sector software built for £5m+ organisations is priced and built for a different problem than the one most UK charities actually have. I built CharityIQ to close that gap — properly grounded AI, audit trails by default, and pricing that fits a charity, not an enterprise.

What I write about on this site

Everything published under my name on CharityIQ — grant funding, Charity Commission compliance and SORP 2026, impact measurement, and the practical, honest use of AI in the charity sector — is written or reviewed by me before it goes live, and checked against primary sources: the Charity Commission register, GOV.UK, 360Giving, and funders’ own websites.
