Prompt: describe the need in a grant application

“Describe the need” is where most applications are won or lost. A funder wants proof the problem is real, specific to your area, and urgent. This prompt structures your own evidence into a tight answer and flags where you still need to add proof — it will not manufacture a statistic to fill a gap.

What to paste in

Give the AI the problem in plain words, who is affected and where, any real figures with their source, and what you hear directly from the people you support. Set the word limit so the answer fits the form.

What to check afterwards

Trace every number to a named source before you submit. If the AI added a figure you did not supply, delete it. Fill each [NEED: source] tag with real evidence or cut the sentence. Make sure the answer could only describe your community, not any charity anywhere.
