Prompt: summarise qualitative feedback into themes

Piles of open-ended comments are hard to use. This prompt groups anonymised feedback into honest themes — including the critical ones — with a rough sense of how common each is and a real quote for each. You check the themes reflect what people actually said and that nothing identifying slips through.

What to paste in

Paste anonymised comments only — no names or identifying details — plus what you wanted to learn. The prompt surfaces genuine themes, keeps criticism visible, and uses only real quotes from your comments.

What to check afterwards

Compare the themes and quotes back to the raw feedback — AI can drift toward a rosier summary than the data supports. Confirm every quote is real and anonymised, make sure negative themes are represented fairly, and check no detail could identify someone in a small group.

AI summaries of feedback tend to drift more positive than the comments justify, so always check that criticism survived the summary and that every quote is real.

Worked example

The illustrative example keeps a critical theme (timing) as prominent as the positive ones and turns the whole into a short list of possible actions.

CharityIQ can theme feedback grounded in your real, anonymised responses, keeping every quote traceable to the source.
