Charity risk register template

How to use this: list your real risks, agree the likelihood and impact ratings as a board, and record honest controls and an owner for each. Do not record a control you do not actually have. Review it regularly.

Larger charities preparing a full Trustees’ Annual Report under the Charities SORP — broadly, income over £500,000 (or over £250,000 with assets over £3.26 million), or a company/CIO — must include a statement of principal risks and uncertainties and how they are managed (Source: Charities SORP 2026, accessed 10 July 2026).
